Funding

There may be funding available through ISA or your home or host university to help offset the costs of your study abroad program.

OS-HELP

OS-HELP is a loan scheme provided by the Australian Government and is designed to assist eligible Australian students to undertake an overseas experience as part of their degree studies. The loan can be used to cover a range of expenses, including airfare, accommodation, or other travel costs.

The 2019 OS-HELP loan amount is:
– $6,791 (for studies outside Asia)
– $8,149 (for studies inside Asia)

There is no loan fee applied to OS-HELP loans and the amount that you borrow will be added to your existing HELP debt. OS-HELP loans are managed through your home university, so you will need to direct all enquiries to your Study Abroad office. For policy information visit the Study Assist website.

Scholarships and Grants

ISA strives to make our programs accessible to all students and provides scholarship and grant opportunities to do so, for example; ISA Diversity Scholarship, ISA Repeat Student and Sibling Grants, etc. ISA also encourages you to inquire with your home university regarding any opportunities they may have available as well.

Cancellation Policy

ISA accepts students on a rolling basis, so applications should be submitted ASAP. Check the program application due date and ensure you submit all necessary application documents and full payment by ISA’s final payment due date. Students who have not paid in full by the payment due date and submitted all application documents are subject to a late fee of $50. ISA recommends submitting applications at least 1 to 2 months before the application due date.
