International Studies Abroad (ISA) was established in 1987 in order to facilitate cultural immersion for U.S. college students with a single language and culture program in Salamanca, Spain. Within a few years, the organization had expanded to offer programs in multiple destinations within Spain and several other countries. Since then, ISA has added high school, service-learning,  internships, and custom programs to the portfolio of available options, across 30 countries.

Today, students from around the globe can participate in ISA programs anywhere in the world. The programs listed on this website are ideal for students from Australia and New Zealand because they fit well within the Southern Hemisphere academic calendar.
